Ralph Parks

Ralph Parks is a carpenter and wood carver with simple intentions to make beautiful and meaningful things. His practice is a combination of imitation and transformation, recontextualising recognisable forms and utilising their connotations, or transforming them to uncover new ideas. He is largely focused on abstracting and reforming religious architectural and design forms into something both familiar and new. Ralph believes that objects crafted with intention have the potential to affect meaningful change in the world, and it is with this mindset that he approaches every project, hoping to offer a moment of meaning to those who interact with his work.
